Long and narrow path of the Baras
Hanging Bridge
When Neil was diving at Sinandigan wall Wednesday morning he suddenly saw the very characteristic tail of the Thresher shark and when it turned its side towards him… he knew the thresher shark is back in Puerto Galera.
One of the many places to visit in Mindoro is the Baras Hanging Bridge in the town of Baco. The bridge crosses the San Rafael River which you can also kayak or have a picnic on the side.
It is quite an experience and a thrill to cross this hanging bridge as it 60 meters long, with about 2 feet only of space in between the ropes for you to walk on. The children of the Mangyan Tribes in the area cross this bridge to get to and from school, regardless of the weather.
