It’s not only the Coco Staff who gets a quiz and get a reward for it - a Coco Shirt. Our guests also have their own mini quiz together with our daily newsletter at the resort.

The questions vary in difficulty and silliness! Some of the questions were: When did Coco Beach start? What is the ethnic tribe of Mindoro? How many sea turtles does Coco Divers currently have? What is the color of the underwear the Bartender is wearing?

Iain Black and Heiko Holzheuer aced the quiz! Originally from Scotland, Iain Black is back in Coco with his wife Marilou Cruz from the Philippines. They have an unfair advantage compared to some of the guests as they have been visiting Coco Beach for the past four years and this visit is their 10th! The couple works at Doha, Qatar and for them, Coco Beach is the perfect escape from their hectic lives. They say they came from a place where everything is bleached white from the scorching heat of the sun and to a tropical paradise with coconut palms, banana trees, tropical plants and to be looked after by the friendliest people.

Going back to the quiz...after getting the newsletter at their doorsteps, they reckoned that with a minimal investigation, they can do it! They came here to enjoy the fantastic dive sites therefore, spending lots of times at the Coco Divers. The turtle question was easy although it was tricky as the turtles were hatching all the time. With some common sense, they easily figured out the tribe based on the special projects done by the resort to help them - the Mangyans of Mindoro. The last question was the trickiest and probably the most difficult one. But, after drinking several San Miguel Beer and numerous conversations with the bartenders, they knew the answer. And they leave it at that...

Heiko, also wearing his new shirt, thanks his Service Family!

The second winner is from Germany, Heiko Holzheuer. And just like Iain, Heiko has been to Coco Beach - ten years ago! This time, his second visit, he is with his family. His wife Heidi celebrated her 44th birthday (July 4) here. With the help of their Service Family, they answered the quiz perfectly!
